Slide 12: Telcos Leading case: Huawei •Huawei (www.huawei.com) is one of the world´s leading telecommunications equipment company, based in China, dedicated specially to the construction of routers, softswitchs, ADSL endpoints, fiber optics devices, etc. For them, we developed several format translators and CDR (Call Data Record) mediators, generated for long distance trunk equipment, in specific versions for local clients such as Telecom Argentina. This kind of development is critical in regards to the traffic volume they must support, with the precission and reliability needed for a business that makes several million monthly transactions. The selected language was C, to ensure portability throughout operating systems and the running speed needed.

14. Slide 14: Consulting Leading case: Hati Ltd. (UK) •Hati (http://www.hati.ltd.uk) is a British company specialising in Bluetooth, focusing on proximity marketing. Hati Ltd delivers a comprehensive service, from feasibility research and on-site testing to installing large scale interactive networks. We developed for them a Universal application that would allow them to distribute their specifically targetted content through their Bluetooth access points, thus enabling and enrichening the end user experience and at the same time reduced the costs of building special applications for each business case.

For them we developed a flexible mobile order taking system based on PalmOS, for internal use with stock validation. Product code entering was available both through Palm´s native interface and also through barcode readers (Symbol).
