Then proof of concept to test S3 integration  Added separate production environment with no additional effort  Built some simple tools to provision and manage the instances using Capistrano • Security  EC2 provides port security and instructions on how to issue and use credentials. • Future  Being in EC2 enables us to start thinking about using value-added services like Mashery for the Fingerprint.MD API and RightScale for scaling up the application layer and we know that everything is co-located.
