I love your comment "If you can't find the meaning, don't present!" I would add and tell my participants - If you can't clarify your purpose for giving the presentation--neither can your audience and you are wasting everyone's time! And, most importantly answer the question "why should your audience care?"

A presentation without aim is like human beings without life. Combine it with a bad design, spice the slides with an insane amount of data, and you can call yourself a murderer. Keywords: passion, clarity, simplicity Save many lives with a nice presentation! :)
