  1. Slide 1: 2008 Holiday Food & Fund Drive
  2. Slide 2: The Need Since July of last year, Second Harvest has experienced a 55% increase in food requests.
  3. Slide 3: The Need Many of these people are using the Food Bank for the first time. Some of them used to be donors.
  4. Slide 4: How the Food Bank Helps Second Harvest partners with 328 non-profit agencies that efficiently distribute food throughout Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Through these partnerships, there are 1051 different sites where clients can receive much needed food.
  5. Slide 5: Our Clients Last fiscal year, the Food Bank served an average of 176,000 people each month. Over 34 million pounds of food was distributed to serve them.
  6. Slide 6: Our Clients 67% of the people served are families with children. The average monthly income of these families is $1,346.
  7. Slide 7: Our Clients 12% of clients are seniors. The average monthly income is $1,010.
  8. Slide 8: Support This holiday season is a critical time. If your cupboards are full, please help others who don’t know where their next meal will come from.
  9. Slide 9: Support No donation is too small; giving as little as $10 is enough to provide 20 nutritious meals to people in need in our community. Running a Food & Fund Drive with friends and family, at work or your congregation is great way to contribute and allow others the opportunity to give.
